1983 Bradley University Photosafari

It was early in the summer of 1983. For some reason I thought it would be a good idea to rent an old motorhome and take eight Bradley University photojournalism students on a drive across the country from Peoria to the West Coast. We stopped to make photographs everywhere from national parks to ghost towns. Highlights were Petrified Forest National Monument, Yosemite National Park, Point Lobos State Natural Reserve, and Arches National Park. We also spent one night at a casino campground in Reno, where, 20 years later, I would relocate for my second act. Students on this trip were: Shari Blank, Gia Civerolo, Dewey Fladd, Brad Gillespie, Kevin May, Joel Okmin, TJ Smith, and Brian Sugarman.
